Wedding at Reflection Lakes | Sunset Portraits at Mt. Rainier National Park
This Mt. Rainier wedding blew us away with love, family, and adventure. Neesie and I clicked right off the bat. I could tell just from the comments in her original inquiry that we would have so much in common. And we did. Throughout the planning process, she and Danny strived to find a middle between an adventure elopement and having their closest friends and family come along for it. We dreamed and brainstormed and threw out ideas until we came up with a plan. She found the perfect backdrop. Mount Rainier was it. And it was perfect.
We flew out to meet the whole family for this incredible day. Their ceremony took place at the edge of Reflection Lakes in midsummer, with all the wildflower glory it had to offer. They were pronounced husband and wife in the afternoon sun, with a beautifully crisp and visible Mount Rainier in the background. They chose Reflection Lakes because it was easily accessible – I should mention their globetrotting grandmother made the trip out as well, and her wheelchair surely wasn’t going to stop her.
The whole day was magical in every sense. They had the most beautiful reception setup at a cabin by the river, where they ate and danced. We finished off the night hiking a trail off Paradise Road where Neesie and Danny exchanged their vows privately with the most incredible backdrop that Mt. Rainier National Park has to offer. The panorama of mountains and fields of wildflowers took my breath away.
Words cannot describe how grateful we are to these two beautiful souls for taking us along on this epic trip and for trusting us to document it. Love you both to the moon!
xx Vicky
