Jekyll Island Wedding | Sunset portraits at Driftwood Beach

Lindsey & Drew’s intimate Jekyll Island wedding was stunning. They are such a special couple. “Best friends through and through” as she put it when she first reached out to us. Their connection is undeniable. Both are so effortlessly cool and laidback, and their wedding reflected just that.

Jekyll Island is truly a southern beauty, covered with live oak trees draped in Spanish moss. Its unique landscape and charming vibe are like something out of another time period. We explored the island for portraits, starting at the Jekyll Island Club Resort and ending with a dance on Driftwood Beach.

Every beautiful detail of this intimate wedding made you stop and savor the moment. From the warm fall-inspired color palette, to the stunning cake made by Drew’s sister and mother and the table setting styled by Lindsey’s sister –  the whole day was truly a team effort by Lindsey and Drew and those closest to them. Their romantic backyard BBQ dinner felt magical under the stars and string lights.

They were looking forward to celebrating with all of their close friends this year, but as 2020 would have it, those plans didn’t quite pan out the way they originally thought. We spoke many times over the quarantine days trying to figure out what this year would bring. I know it was a hard decision to move forward without the celebration they had intended, but I definitely think it all worked out for the best. This year hasn’t been easy for our couples, but there are silver linings, and Lindsey and Drew’s small wedding is a perfect example of that.

Thank you both for everything. I can’t tell you how much it means to us that we got to tell your love story.

xx Vicky
