How It Works | Everything you need to know
PRICING
This is an investment to document your one and only wedding day. In the best possible way, with a photographer you love, with the people you love. We have various packages to choose from depending on location and the number of days you want coverage for. Prices are all-inclusive and include travel costs.
On average, our couples typically invest between $5600 to $8000 on their wedding photography. We do understand that every wedding is different and are definitely open to creating custom packages. We can spend the weekend with you in the mountains to document your friends and family. Take you on an epic hike to elope in a wild place. Or, spend the day with you and your loved ones celebrating tradition in the best possible way. It’s your day, it’s up to you. We will be there to cheer you on, capture every meaningful moment, and create beautiful photos for you to look back on for the rest of your life.
PAYMENT
We require a 50% retainer to secure your date, and the other half 60 days before your wedding. You can make your payment by check, cash, Venmo, and bank transfer. Bank transfer payments are made through Honeybook’s secure payment system.
CONTRACT
You like us. We like you. You like you. We like us… Once you’ve checked out our gallery, and we’ve gotten a chance to get to know each other, we will send you a contract to look over. You can review, ask questions, sign and keep a copy, and make payment – all online. We use a booking platform called Honeybook. This platform allows us to keep all our details and convos about your wedding day in one place. You’ll love using it.
TRAVEL
As wedding photographers, a huge part of our lives involves travel, for work and play, and we love it! We are very comfortable traveling all over the US, and internationally. WHAT TO EXPECT
We are with you every step of the way. Need a second opinion on bridesmaids dresses, text me a picture. Need help putting your timeline together, we’ll sit down and draft one out. Want someone to try out the newest coffee shop with? Yes please. Last minute trip to Paris? Don’t tempt me! We are here for you any way that we can be! If you’re looking for someone to just show up the day of the wedding, shoot a bunch of photos, and send you a flash drive, we might not be the right fit for each other. Shooting is only a third of what we do to prepare and deliver your wedding photos. Planning is also a huge part of our workflow, and of course our post-process & editing are a major factor of the time we put into your final product and what attracted you to us in the first place.
We scout the location of your wedding day for all of its beautiful nooks.
If you have a planner, we get in touch with them a couple weeks before the wedding to go over details so that we’re all on the same page about times and events throughout the day.
You will receive a questionnaire from us about a month before your wedding. This will provide us with the details we need to plan our shot list and help the day go by smoothly and efficiently. So we’re not yelling out “bride with mom and dad” during family photos, we take the time to learn the names of the bridal party and your immediate family. We make sure to give you a few slow moments to yourselves during the portraits since the day will go by so fast. We won’t overly pose you but give you direction to capture your true selves. It will be so easy you won’t even notice your photos are being taken.
We go for all the shots, even the ones you don’t think about.
Your photos are delivered in high-resolution digital format on a beautiful online album where you can download and share them with friends and family. All files will be JPEG, and you have personal printing rights to all your photos. You can use them for all your announcements, invites, thank you cards, and albums. We don’t paste logos or tacky watermarks on your images. You can wallpaper your house with them, they’re all yours! Your photos should be in print, and you can print to your heart’s content.
Finally, our gift to you.
This is one of my favorite parts. It took us a long time to figure out what we wanted our wedding gift to be to our clients, our friends. In the digital age, photos in print seem to be a nostalgic practice, and we want to gift you just that. A little trinket that will make you think of your wedding day and take you back to reminisce for just a moment. We hand-curate wooden heirloom boxes, beautifully engraved with your names on it, and print around 25 of our favorite photos from your wedding day that tell a story.
It’s all in the details, darling. And this is a detail we love.
A couple more things to think about before I close this up. Remember that you have one chance to document this day, and the number one thing that brides wish they had done different is hired a better photographer. Ben and I had a private ceremony when we eloped. It was just the two of us, and we knew that if there was anything we wouldn’t spare an expense on, it was our photographer. Our wedding photos have such a special place in our hearts, and our goal for our clients is to create the same feeling. We want you to look at your photos and really feel the magic of the day.
If you’re eloping and can be flexible, make your dreams come true! Go to that gorgeous place you’ve always dreamed of or hike that mountain you guys always planned to do together. Just because your eloping or having a small ceremony, doesn’t mean you only need a couple hours and you’re done. It can mean anything you want it to. The definition of eloping is changing.
